"The Last Man in Europe Corporation" was an electronic/experimental project managed by "Trevor Abbott" and "Paul Martland". Appart from a Single and some compilations officialy released, there's lots of out-takes and a couple of 12 inch mixes that never saw the light of day.
This album was edited by "Situation Two", a record label created in 1981 by "Peter Kent" as an offshoot of the larger "Beggars Banquet" label. At the time, Beggars Banquet records were distributed by "WEA Records"; to appeal to the indie audience and to get releases into the indie charts, the "Situation Two" label was created.
"Songs from the Ark" have a good dose of electronic elements mixed by dark and ethereal atmospheres.
